Question 1

Is everything really open source?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Zoomies, reet.sh and 3270Web are AGPL-3.0. Jiggered and 3270Connect are MIT. The site itself is MIT too, and the repositories are public.

Question 2

Do I need a mainframe to try these?

Accepted Answer

Only 3270Web and 3270Connect need a host — and both ship with sample screens and a lab stack, so you can try the pair without pointing anything at production iron.

Question 3

Why the neurodivergent thing?

Accepted Answer

Because the tools are shaped by how I work: deep focus, clear systems, low sensory noise. It is not a label on a poster; it is a design constraint that tends to make software kinder for everyone.

Question 4

What does built proper mean?

Accepted Answer

Self-hosted by default, offline where it can be, no telemetry, real exports, and error messages in English. If it needs a committee to operate, it is not finished.
